Glenwoodie Course Update:
We’re getting closer to reopening, but we still have some important work ahead of us.
We’re happy to report that our greens, tees, and fairways have now been cleared of storm debris. This was our first priority to protect the turf and prevent any further damage.
As a result of that cleanup, we now have piles of branches and limbs staged along cart paths and rough. We will be chipping and removing these piles over the coming days. While there is still plenty of cleanup ahead, these piles will not prevent us from reopening the course.
Our biggest concern remains safety. There are still damaged and hanging limbs throughout the course that must be assessed and removed before we can safely allow golfers back out.
The rain has also been working against us. Even without the tornado damage, the course would not currently be playable due to saturated conditions.
We know everyone is eager to get back out on the course, and we’re just as eager to welcome you back! Our staff has been working extremely hard to get Glenwoodie cleaned up and, most importantly, safe for everyone.
Thank you for your continued patience and understanding. We’re making progress every day and getting closer! We will continue to provide updates as conditions improve and we have a better timeline for reopening.
