Sunlight gives you a full day of skiing for a fraction of the cost of the mega resorts. You’ll park for free, walk to the lifts, and never stand in line.

No hassles. No hype. It’s exactly why you go skiing or riding. Sunlight features 72 named trails covering over 730 acres. In addition to miles of cruising intermediate terrain, Sunlight's East Ridge has one of the steepest runs in the state. Aptly named, The Heathen falls beneath your feet at a breathtaking 52 degrees. Sunlight is home to one of the longest trails in ski country, Ute, a beginner slope that winds more than 2.5 miles from summit to base. Sunlight also hosts some of the best tree skiing in Colorado with many aspen groves untracked days after snowfall. All trails converge at the base lodge, so friends and family can always keep track of each other.

Join us at Sunlight on October 10 from 11am–3pm for live music, face painting, bounce houses, pumpkin carving, a Ticket Buffet and a Ute Blessing. Todd’s Tavern will also be open throughout the afternoon.

That’s a wrap on the 2026 Sunlight Showdown Trail Series!

From the 5K to the 10K and this weekend’s Half Marathon, it was incredible to watch runners challenge themselves on the trails of Sunlight Mountain all summer long.

A huge thank you to everyone who signed up and to for supporting the series. The Sunlight Showdown will return next year—we can’t wait to see you back at the starting line!
