Can we ladies stop identifying ourselves by our age? This s**t is outdated and exhausted.
I hear it all the time.
“I can’t wear that because I’m 50.”
“I can’t start that because I’m 60.”
“I’m too old to go back to school.”
“I’m too old to lift weights.”
“I’m too old to start doing facials.”
“I’m too old to start eating clean.”
“I’m too old to date.”
“I’m too old to care about myself now.”
And every time I hear it, I wonder…
Who told you that?
Because I rarely hear men sitting around saying, “Well, I’m 57, so I guess my life is over.”
Men buy motorcycles at 60.
Start businesses at 65.
Date at 70.
Take up new hobbies at 75.
Meanwhile, women are over here asking permission to wear a tank top.
Ladies, your age is not your identity.
It is simply the number of years you’ve been alive.
You are not “too old.”
You are not expired.
You are not past your prime.
In fact, you have more wisdom, more experience, more resilience, and more self-awareness than you’ve ever had before.
The saddest thing isn’t aging.
The saddest thing is watching women place limitations on themselves because society convinced them that a number on a birthday cake determines what they’re allowed to do.
Wear the outfit.
Start the business.
Take care of your skin.
Lift the weights.
Learn the thing.
Book the trip.
Stop acting like life ends at some arbitrary age.
The only thing that should get older is the number.
Not your dreams. 🔥
