💙 GYB hopes everyone has an amazing experience this year!! We always appreciate our coaches!

A good youth coach is in it for the long game, not the immediate win.

To them, it's not about recruiting all the kids with the raw talent to stack their team for a tournament. It's about picking up the guys who might be a little more green, but who have the right attitudes and work ethic to develop their fundamentals into something solid.

A good youth coach knows the value of helping kids fall in love with the game before anything else—because a kid who discovers a passion is a kid who's going to put in the work in their spare time. Not because someone is forcing them, but because it lights a fire in their hearts and they're hungry for success.

A good youth coach sees that losses now mean learning moments, character growth, and room to improve, all of which lead to well-deserved wins down the road.

A good youth coach sees more than today or this season; they see the future—because of their positivity and guidance, it's going to be a bright one.

Well it is almost time for another season Ron and I are excited for our 42nd year of running tournaments in the Tulsa area. We've had a few changes in our lives, most of you know that I had a stroke back in August and have kind of been sidelined a little bit Thankfully my daughter-in-law Susan was able to pick up the slack in the fall and keep our fall tournaments going.

Ron and I are back in the saddle again and working hard on getting ready for the 2026 season running the tournaments at Jenks and Glenpool which will mainly be the A and AA divisions. Then we are also going to be overseeing the Open divisions at O'brien park this year. Terry Kimmel will be the on site director and handling all the at the fields issues while my daughter-in-law Susan will be doing the scheduling for O'brien. If you wish to play in any of those tournaments you will just go online to usssa.com and enter like you would any other tournament. Several age groups on those O'brien tournaments are already full. Susans contact information is available on the website for you to contact for scheduling questions. You can always e-mail me or text me and I can get you in touch with her.

Anything that pertains to Jenks or Glenpool will come directly through me.

The fields at all the parks are coming along nicely.
Beginning the 1st of May we will have access to the turf fields at
O'brien and we will alternate which age groups are playing on those each weekend. They will also have concession stands at
O'brien this year.

We are sure looking forward to getting back to the ballpark and seeing everybody again. Best of luck to all the teams and let me know if you have any questions.
