Notice:
The Glen Greig Fish & Game Club will host it’s first shoot, in the Northern Tier Trap League, Thursday night on April 13th. Yup, it’s here all ready!

The Club will start practicing this Tuesday night, March 21st @ 4:30 pm.
We are looking for new shooters to join our team, we don’t care if you haven’t shot before or your ability, it will be like on the job training 😀. Our team consist of between 20 and 30 shooters and it seems hard to complete with the bigger teams of 50 to 60 shooters or more.
So come on out and shoot with us, we practice on Tuesday and Saturday nights at 4:30 pm and shoot league on Thursday nights, 50% @ home and 50% away.
Let’s have some fun together, shooting!

The Glen Greig Fish & Game club hosted the USA Clay Target League safety class for the high schools of South Lewis High trap team and the Lowville Academy trap team, last night 3/9/23

Pat Morse, a NRA certified Chief Range Safety Officer instructed the class, along with the teams captains, Reid Covey (SLHS) and Derek Burke (LA). Also, assisting in the training were some of the officers of the GGF&G Club.
Again, there was a great turn out for the schools athletes and their parents.

The USA Clay Clay Target Leaugue is a National High School
Trap League, with many teams form a crossed State and the nation competing and with thousands of athletes competeing.
The New State teams compete in several different divisions, depending on the size of the teams from each school. Each team shoot on their home trap fields and send the scores in. Along in June or July the teams compete in a State Shoot @ Bridgeport Fish and Game Club in Cicero, NY.
From there they go to the nationals in Michigan. If the teams qualify, they will shoot as a team in Michigan, but some individual shooters will qualify to shoot as an individual at the nationals too.

Notice:
The Glen Greig Fish & Game Club will be holding its first meeting of the year on Tuesday, March 7th, 2023, @ 6:30 pm.

The winter trap league at the club, held on Sundays at 10 am, was extended for another two weeks. The original five weeks of shooting went so well, every one wanted to extend it another couple weeks 😀.
The league has about 25 shooters and several shooters that just come up to shoot practice rounds and to get out and have a good time with friends and making new friends.
Next Sunday, February 26th is the last scheduled winter league shooting date.
A good time was had by all, and new shooters are welcome to come shoot practice or for fun.
The club is looking for new shooters to join the summer trap league (NTTL) that will be starting soon as well, and it don’t matter what you think your ability is, you will have a good time shooting or just watching.
The South Lewis School Trap Team, soon will be shooting at the club on Sundays…

Just a friendly reminder that the Glen Greig Fish & Game Club is starting their winter trap league this weekend, Sunday the 8th. Shooting is to start at 10 am, til 1 pm or when ever all have shot.
It will be a good time to get out! 😀

Notice:
At our monthly meeting, 6:30 Tuesday, October 4th, Patrick Morse, a certified NRA instructor and Chief Range Safety Officer will be in attendance to go over the new Gun laws in New York State and answer questions regarding the new laws, as there seems to be much confusion regarding these laws. (I can’t imagine 😢)

All are welcomed to attend, and we’ll see you there!

The Northern Tier Trap League awards banquet was held last Sunday, the 18th in Harrisville.
Several of the Glen Greig trap shooters won and/or placed in the different classes, and as follows;

Robert Plemons - Reg - (D),
Joe Plemons - Sub Junior.

The Glen Greig five man team won the five man trap shoot-out, at the Northern Tier Trap League banquet with a score of a 121, out of a 125.

The Glen-Greig trap team ended the trap season in a 125 to 125 tie with the Beaver River trap team at our club house.
After the shooting was done, the two clubs had a friendly cook out. Beaver River’s masterChef, Craig LaChausse did the cooking, thanx Craig.
On the menu was a little venison, hamburgers and hotdogs, corn on the cobb, salads,  tomato pies, and desserts.
Oh, I almost forgot, lots of beer 😀.
Scott Rupert won the Annie Oakley shoot out 😂.
We would like to thank our Friends at Beaver River for the fun & great time, and great shoot, what a way to end the season…
