It’s a wrap for Bench Press at the 2026 USPFC. Attempt 1, I went with a safe 170.8 lbs.. it was ok. Attempt 2, a small jump to 176.3lbs moved fairly easy once I was focused. But attempt 3, at 187lbs was a huge gamble that didn’t move! It’s all good though. It was still a great day, I felt strong, I saw some old friends, and then some new friends. And, I’m looking forward to tomorrow’s push-pull.

Well, it’s that time of year again! I’m getting packed up for the 2026 USPFC. And, this year I am participating in 4 sports, technically, lol. I have indoor rowing, bench press, push pull, and track and field over the next 5 days…

So I definitely have to make sure that I am on point when it comes to my nutrition. Plus, I have to weigh in tomorrow and Tuesday!

These are just a few things that I pack for the week to ensure that I keep my body in check and I’m not starving or feeling weak by day 4!

I typically pack protein drinks, pre-packed protein powder, pre-workout, BCAA’s, electrolytes/vitamins, healthy, protein, snacks, oatmeal, and lots of alkaline water. I also brought some meal prep from a company called Tempo so I’m not eating out everyday.

Today sucked! I was only going up to my opener for next week… and, THAT did not look or feel good 😡🤬 The first attempt felt like the bar was too far from me. And the second attempt just felt like I was in my head the whole time 😢
Well, this was my last day training before the next week. I guess I’ll be hoping and praying for the best.
