Have you heard of the Five Mother Sauces? Typically found in French cooking they are rich sauces used as the base for countless recipes. Today join me as I create one of my favorite go-to comfort dishes using a Tomato Mother Sauce and 🧈 If you know me I’m all about quality of food over quantity and French butter is what I like to use because it’s all natural, simple ingredients and high quality. European butter from France contains 82% fat (an extra 2% more than American butter) which makes a huge difference when baking and cooking since it adds extra flavor to any dish. When shopping, look for packaging that says “made in France,” or origin of France so you are purchasing the right one!
Golden Tomato White Bean Stew
1. Melt butter over medium high heat. I use about 2 TBSP
2. Add in chopped onion and some minced garlic
3. Throw in some golden cherry tomatoes (can use red if needed)
4. Cook down the tomatoes until a sauce forms.
5. Blend with immersion blender
6. Add fresh basil and salt and pepper
7. Top with Parmesan cheese
