Thunderbird-Paseo Disc Golf Course

Hello Everyone!

I will not be continuing the Handicap League at Thunderbird-Paseo this year. There are a few reasons:

1. My work and personal schedules have become too crazy to run the league on a consistent weekday or weekend.
2. The location of the course makes it impossible to maintain well enough for a weekly league and is unplayable to most players for weeks or months at a time.
3. I believe that the few hours of free time that I do have would be better spent cleaning up the course and making it more enjoyable for everyone.

Here is my dilemma: I have $265 in ace pool money that has been collected over 17 weeks of the league, and I want to give everyone a chance to win some of that...

My thoughts are to host a fun round on a modified layout to give everyone a chance to ace. There will be (5) holes with disc CTPs in addition to the ace pot being in play. If no one hits an ace, $20 of the ace pot will go to the 5 CTP winners, then the remaining money will be played for in a 2-disc CTP with the 3 closest discs paying out 50%, 30%, and 20%.

I will be hosting the round on February 15th at 9:00am, starting at traditional hole 1. Let me know if you can make it!

Tomorrow, October 5th, I am hosting a course Clean-up and Doubles round at the Thunderbird-Paseo Disc Golf Course.

Unfortunately, this year's monsoon season has brought all the Valley’s trash with it. Many of the holes have been covered in garbage and need a clean-up. Join me and others as we clean up one of AZ's oldest and most beloved courses!

Water, gloves, trash bags, and trash pickers will be provided. Please bring wheelbarrows and any other tools you may have that could help. We will only be focusing on holes 9-14.

We will be meeting up at 7:00 am at Hole 13's parking lot: (13280 N 56th Ave, Glendale, AZ 85304). We will finish the clean-up at 9:00 am and begin sign-ups for a random draw doubles round. The random draw doubles round will start at 9:30 and is $10 to enter. Sign-ups and scores will be tracked using the Udisc App.

Thunderbird Paseo Course Clean-up and Doubles is a Disc golf doubles tournament in Glendale, Arizona beginning October 5, 2024 and hosted by Thunderbird-Paseo Disc Golf Course.

I am organizing a course clean-up and Random Draw Doubles Round on October 5th! Clean-up from 7:00 am to 9:00 am, At 9:30 am we will be teeing off for the Random Draw Doubles Round. $10 to play, plus ace pool. Come help clean up one of Arizona's most beloved courses!
