Is there something you do to assert yourself at work?

A way I’ve been asserting myself at the gym is by doing pull ups chin ups. You see in my entire experience at the gym, the only true times I didn’t get stares or people looking at you like I don’t below is by always doing a set of push ups or chin to assert myself. 9 out of 10 times I’ve done it there’s always a guy who would walk up to me and tilt his hat or what not to me. Then after that I’m basically left alone.

On my trip to Texas, I wanted to record some of my workouts for the gram and I literally told my friend you know what, let’s record a set of pull ups first so these men don’t look at me like another girl doing things for the gram (even tho that’s what I was doing, lol) I just wanted to make sure I’m left alone and not get weird stares while recording. I did my pull pulls ups and guess what? Sure enough the guy walked up to me and said what he said “Oh nice that’s so amazing, ai cant even do that” and just laughed laughed and said thank you.
Then the whole time I was faced with smiles and happy nods.

You do not need to able to do pull ups to feel strong and fit. However you you should not not be afraid to do pull ups either. Doing pulls ups is such a power move and I’m grateful my body is allowing me tu pull myself
