I’ve seen the facebook community come together for many causes and fundraisers with great success, but have yet to find it ourselves. Feeling a bit defeated but we are still hopeful 🫶🫶. We would love for the community to rally together to support student athletes in need.

We have run the AZ Renegades now for about a decade. Providing not only the opportunity to learn the game of football to AZ youth but also a family, a safe space, and an outlet for at risk youth. Our goal has always been to make sure everyone who has the heart to play gets to hit that field. We’ve been lucky to have some sponsors over the years assist and we have also come out of pocket each season thousands of dollars of our own personal salaries to support the cause. We’ve made choices to skip personal bills to help these kids because we know to some … football is all they have and to others it’s not even about football, it’s bigger than football… it’s about inclusion, contribution to their team, creating long lasting bonds and building self esteem. We’ve been privileged to help about 10 athletes each season who wanted to be a part of something bigger than themselves… a team … a family. This season we haven’t had any success in fundraising or securing additional sponsors or donations. Due to the state of the economy, more of our athletes than ever before are in need of assistance to help cover league registration fees and uniform costs.

I’ve posted, I’ve shared, I’ve contacted local businesses, I’ve ran fundraisers and through it all … we’ve only received one donation outside of our original sponsor (which helped us with the first group of athletes… so thank you!). We could really really use some help and support for these kids. Time is running out and we don’t want to tell the kids who have been working so hard this season and fell short of fundraising, that they can’t play.

Please I beg of the Facebook community to help us share this and hopefully get more than the single donation we have received for the kids of our program. Every bit helps …

Looking for a home for fall? It’s not too late to join a long standing org like ours! We’ve been around for a decade and aren’t going anywhere. Emphasis on development with smaller roster caps to implement more game day experience for each athlete. Your child will NEVER develop if they don’t play!
