This month, your favorite climbs are in disguise. Any climb above 5.9 will be marked as 5.9+.

Spooky Month at VES is all about getting out of your comfort zone. We encourage you to let the pressure of grades go – whether you feel resigned to lower grades because of your skill level, or you have to prove how hard you climb, don’t forget that we’re here to build community, move our bodies, and most importantly, have fun. Get on climbs that look interesting to you, try hard, and get comfortable falling off. This is a great opportunity to brush up on your route reading skills.

For a limited time only. Check out the link in our bio for more info!

Been a minute? No problem.
We’ve extended our required re-orientation window from 4 months → 1 YEAR! 🎉

The update brings us more in line with what you’ll find at many other climbing gyms — and means fewer repeat orientations and more time doing what you actually came here to do: Climb! (Of course we hope you visit more often than once a year...)

If our staff notices your skills are looking a little rusty, we may ask you to re-test or refresh your skills -- and we always reserve the right to revoke credentials when needed to keep everyone safe.

No biggie. A quick refresher beats a sketchy belay.

Heads (and wattles) up, Glendale Heights climbers! Some areas of the gym are closed this week as our setters prepare for Turkey Crusher this Saturday. The Mezzanine and the Main Wall bouldering areas are currently closed, as well as rope areas The Rook, The Amphitheater, and the 38-degree wall.
