Tomorrow, phase 2 of the Lakefront Park Bluff Stabilization and Ramp Improvements will begin! In September, during normal construction hours (Mon-Fri 7AM-4PM), the Hazel ramp and lower ramp accesses will be closed periodically but will remain open outside of construction hours and on weekends. Construction for the second phase of the Bluff Stabilization and Access Road Improvements will begin on Monday, September 11. This portion of the project, a joint effort between the Village of Glencoe and The Glencoe Park District, will feature a new retaining wall on the downslope/east side of the ramp, new asphalt, curbing and sewers from the Halfway House down to the Water Plant gate, and drainage improvements at the top of the bluff in Lakefront Park and along the Hazel Ramp to control surface water/stormwater movement.⁠

Reminder - beginning, Monday, August 14 through Friday, August 18, the Takiff Center will be closed for an annual deep cleaning and maintenance. Glencoe Fitness will be closed and all scheduled fitness classes will be held outside. The beach will be open!
