Gary Rigney, a long time Pro Staff shooter for Mathews Inc. and Hoyt, is an accomplished tournament archer with multiple national titles. Kim Rigney, an accomplished archer and certified S3DA and USA Archery Coach, specializes in personalized archery instruction. She has a coach's heart and finds joy in watching you succeed

Their "Rigneys School of Archery", was started in cooperation with Lake Springfield Christian Assembly, & had impressive results in its first few years, including three ASA State Champions, incredible improvements in year over year outdoor scores and large jumps in indoor scores, including several first time 300s! The motto for "Rigneys School of Archery" is Improving Archery through Biblical Truths. They give credit for any success to God and thank Him for the chance to share their talents to bring Him glory. Together, Gary and Kim work to provide individual attention to your archery needs.

What a weekend for TEAM RSA!

It is tournament season!

Whether it was USAT SoCal Showdown or S3DA State, these kiddos had smiles on their faces. And let me say, they are resilient! Between traveling across the country with flights and delays, recovering from a whole week at camp and a not so quick ER visit, and new tournament venues, there were plenty of challenges, but you would never know it.

These archers brought the fun and cheerful attitudes all day! They interacted with competitors as friends. They jumped in to help with teardown and remembered to publicly thank those that do the work behind the scenes! They were joyful with extended family that came to watch them compete!

We are so proud of each of them and the work they have put into being amazing humans first and archers second! The podiums, plaques, medals, and belt buckles are great bonuses!

We had 4 teammates, Ben, Leah, Parker, and Zeviq shoot down in Rend Lake this weekend for the Eastern S3DA 3D Nationals. All had ups and downs in the heat and humidity. They got to meet new friends, see old friends, and try new things. We are very proud of them. Ben also got to be umbrella holder for friends during the shoot downs.

A big thanks to the Illinois S3DA clubs who helped setup and teardown the ranges.

I did a lousy job at getting pictures. You can check the Scholastic 3-D Archery page for more pictures as well.

As one 3d season comes to an end, we get to switch focus this week to Outdoor Target for our state shoot on Saturday!

Coach Kimberly - One of my favorite things about RSA is the diversity. We have archers this weekend partipating in Scholastic 3-D Archery 3D Nationals, archers at a Regional Elite camp by USA Archery, and archers here at a JOAD event!

We are not designed to be the same. We don't look the same, talk the same, or walk the same. Why should we compete the same? We have a few archers that never compete, they just like to hang out and put arrows down range.

Our 5 teammates that participated in the Illinois S3DA 3D State shoot.

Ray - Powered through with her walking boot. She worked really hard on Thursday night at practice getting use to shooting in it on uneven ground. She didn't quite get the score she was hoping for, but had a good time.

Zeviq - didn't shoot how he wanted, but had a great time. Also got a nap in before holding the umbrella for Parker in the shoot down.

Leah - was building upon a good 3d season and earned a spot in the shoot down. She qualified 5th and stayed at 5th when it was done. Also helped a new friend in their shoot down as the umbrella holder.

Ben - had a good time with his group throughout the day. Lots of laughs, even from the moms. Qualified 2nd for the shoot downs, and finished in 2nd. Also was a 2 time umbrella holder on the day.

Parker - shot a personal best. He had a goal of making the shoot downs. Which he did, he qualified in 3rd and finished in 4th.

We are proud of all of them, and 4 of them will be heading to Nationals next week.
