We'd like to thank everyone that supported this year's 50th and final race including sponsors, racers, ghost racers, spectators, Attitash staff, and the Challenge Cup Committee.

Last night, the committee gathered one final time to present a check for $50,000 to members of the Eastern Slope Ski Club Board! Additionally, some final business was discussed amongst the committee.

◾️ It has been decided that a portion of these proceeds will be earmarked to secure the future of the Red Parka Junior Challenge Cup Race, which takes place annually in February at Attitash Ski Resort and serves as the Middle School State Championship.

◾️ The committee voted to rename the Junior Race to the Terry O'Brien Junior Challenge Cup Race. Terry established this race and the new name underscores the significant impact she has had on youth skiing and racing in the Mt. Washington Valley for the last 35 years.

◾️ Additionally, the committee inducted three final people into the RPP Challenge Cup Hall of Fame, which is on display at The Red Parka Steakhouse & Pub: Committee Member Kali Brennick, Committee Member Stephanie Madden, and the late John D. Lowell of Attitash.

Today, members of our team are competing in the 50th and Final Red Parka Challenge Cup Race. This iconic pro-style, dual giant slalom ski race is the biggest fundraiser for the Eastern Slope Ski Club (ESSC).

ESSC plays a vital role in promoting youth skiing and snowboarding in the Mount Washington Valley. Without ESSC, many local children would not have had the opportunity to learn to ski; a sport so many of us love here in the Valley.

Join us in wishing Victoria, Liz, and Kevin good luck at today's race!
