This weekend was a great opportunity for our Lady Mambas to compete against some very talented teams in a highly competitive tournament. Day 1 didn’t go the way we wanted, as we got off to a slow start, falling to Kidd (25-28) and Lone Star Red (22-42). But one thing about this group—they kept working. They responded with a dominant 58-17 win over TX Heat to earn a spot in the second round of bracket play and a rematch with Lone Star Red. While the scoreboard still wasn’t in our favor (26-34), the growth from Friday to Saturday was evident. We competed harder, executed better, and showed just how much progress can be made in a short amount of time.
There will always be highs and lows throughout a season, but our focus isn’t on being perfect—it’s on being better than we were the day before. These girls continue to put in the work, stay coachable, and embrace the process. That’s the standard we’re building.
A huge congratulations to Kingsley on being selected to the All-Tournament Team! Your hard work and consistent effort continue to pay off, and we’re proud of you. The future is bright for this group, and we’re excited to keep building. 💪🐍
