Matt Kowalski raised the bar again when he bagged this beautiful doe on Friday January 2nd with his 50 cal Traditions Trapper flintlock pistol. Matt was p***y footin around when she stood up and presented a 30 yard shot, once the smoke cleared she was lying just a few yards further. Back straps baby! Anyone else hunting with these ?

When Alan gets out in the woods, you know you’re bound to hear a good story or two.

In opening day of rifle this season, Alan took his nephew out in hopes of landing him his second buck. While they did stumble upon a few does and a good buck, they weren’t able to successfully get any shots off.

Eventful start to the day!

Come lunch time, it was Alan’s turn. Well, no more than 15 minutes in to his afternoon hunt - this stud got pushed in to Alan where he was able to take a close 15 yard shot ! Phew.

To top off his fun for the day, when he walked up to his harvest - its rack had fallen off!! You hear this happen often in late season, but very rarely do you hear this happen on opening day of rifle!

Never a dull moment. But this buck was a stud and we couldn’t be happier for another successful season for Alan! Always love the stories !!!

When using the bite alarm on your fishing rod, load the line by reaching out front, pinch the line and bring it back into the gripper creating a loop with both strands captured in the slot. The line will always release cleanly when pulled by fish, setting the hook or by feeling the line. Perfect.

Local hunter John Evans took this beautiful 9 point with a 20” inside spread on January 3rd 2024! The buck was nocturnal and John had to wait him out until he finally began showing up in daylight. He showed up out of nowhere and John’s arrow found its mark at 25 yards. 1/2 hr later John had his biggest buck ever. Congrats to John!
