In Roman numerals, X means 10.
And this year, X marks 10 years of FLEX.
Here are 10 things working with athletes has taught me along the way:
1️⃣The best athletes aren’t always the most talented — they’re often the most self-aware.
2️⃣Recovery is not optional if performance matters.
3️⃣Confidence is built through repetition, not motivation.
4️⃣Athletes perform differently when they feel safe, supported, and seen.
5️⃣Nervous system regulation changes everything under pressure.
6️⃣More training is not always better training.
7️⃣Breath work, sleep, mobility, and mindset are performance tools — not extras.
8️⃣The athletes who learn how to reset recover faster from mistakes.
9️⃣Parents and coaches influence performance more than they realize.
🔟Sustainable success happens when athletes learn to care for both their body and mind.
💪10 years later, I still believe the future of performance training is more intentional, more aware, and more human.
