Muscular power is strength and speed working together, and it is one of the most important things a young body can develop.

At Kidokinetics, we build it through play: jumps, kicks, throws, and all the explosive little moments that look like fun and feel like flying. Want to try it at home? The sticker jump is a great place to start. Put a sticker just above your child's reach, have them start in a squat, and see how high they can go. It's simple, fun, and exactly the kind of movement their bodies are built for right now!

Parents do a lot to get kids ready for school and most of it works…but movement is the piece that tends to get skipped, and it might be the most important one.

An active August builds the focus, body awareness, and physical confidence that carries into every classroom. Kidokinetics is here for all of it!

There's no lesson plan for this one. Just bubbles, a field full of toddlers, and a lot of tiny hands reaching at the exact wrong moment, then finally the right one.

Years from now, these kids won't remember popping bubbles on a Tuesday morning. But the feeling underneath it, that moving your body is fun, worth chasing, worth laughing about, sticks around a lot longer than the memory does.

Days at Kido start with fresh sneakers and end with the kind of tired that only comes from moving nonstop. In between, there's a little of everything, new games, familiar favorites, the kid who refuses to sit out even for water breaks.

That's summer in full swing! Not one activity on repeat, but a rotation that keeps kids engaged from the wiggle to the last high-five. By the end of the day, they're worn out in the best way, the kind that means they played hard and loved every minute of it.

Exhibit A: a two year old releasing a ball like it personally offended them. Zero effort, zero expression, fully unbothered.

A year later, there's a little hop. A year after that, a real throw, and a kid who's very proud of it.

Kido doesn't run one class for every age and hope it works out. A two year old and a four year old need completely different things from the same thirty minutes, and that's exactly what they get!

What's the funniest "first attempt" you've caught on video?! 🤣

At this age, half the challenge is just holding the stick the right way! A wobbly scoop attempt that sends the ball rolling somewhere unexpected, that's a win and it's exactly the point.

Little movers aren't coordinating fancy passes. They're figuring out that this long object in their hands can pick things up, that their feet need to move toward the ball before their arms do anything, and that a coach standing three feet away with open arms is worth walking over to. That's spatial awareness and hand eye coordination in its earliest form, built through repetition and giggles rather than instruction.

Lacrosse is one of 29 sports in our rotation, and even in these first wobbly attempts, kids are laying down movement patterns they'll use for years!

Cricket is played by over one billion people worldwide. Chances are your child hasn't been one of them. Until now.

At Kido, we believe exposure to unfamiliar sports is just as important as mastering familiar ones. Swinging a cricket bat builds rotational power and upper body strength. Sprinting to the wicket develops explosive speed and muscular endurance. And figuring out a sport they've never seen before? That builds something you can't measure on a field.

This month we're bringing a global game to your backyard!

When it looks this fun, the movement takes care of itself!

But crawling under, jumping over, and sprinting through an obstacle course is exactly the kind of full-body movement that develops the muscular strength kids need for every sport ahead. The lunging, landing, and pushing off the ground? That's track and field. It just happens to also be the best part of their day.

Even our coaches can't resist.
