This is an important announcement from Central High School Athletics:

Free sports physicals for rising 6th through 12th grade student-athletes for the 2026–2027 school year will be held Thursday, May 28th from 9:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Central High School gym.

Forms can be picked up at Central High School, J.W. Adams Combined School, or L.F. Addington Middle School. The parent portion must be completed fully and returned to your school nurse by the end of the school day on Wednesday, May 27th for your child to participate.

These physicals are free and will count for next school year’s sports season. Thank you.

Congratulations Brayden!

🤼‍♂️ STATE CHAMPION ON THE MAT! 🏆

A massive shoutout to Central High Junior, Brayden Owsley! Back on February 21st, Brayden left it all on the mat to become the 2026 VHSL Class 2 138lb Wrestling State Champion! 🥇

The hard work didn't go unnoticed—today, May 11th, the Wise County Public School Board officially honored Brayden for his grit, determination, and state title. We are incredibly proud to have this champion representing the Warriors! 💪

Free sports physicals for athletes planning to participate in middle school or high school sports for the 2026-27 season. Pick up forms in your school office at Central HS, JWA Combined School, or LF Addington Middle School. Complete the parent portion and return to your school nurse.

Good Luck to Kylie Sturgill as she competes in the 2026 VHSL (Class 1-6) Girls State Championship @ Henrico Sports & Events Center in Glen Allen, VA.

Weigh-ins begin at Noon with wrestling scheduled to begin @ 1:30pm. (Today’s schedule was delayed due to weather).

Tournament will be on track wrestling for those of you that were not able to travel.
