YOGA QUESTION OF THE DAY
With the First World Yogasana Championship happening this week, here’s a question for the yoga community:
🤔 Should yoga be a competitive sport?
Some believe yoga is a personal journey—beyond trophies, rankings, and medals.
Others see Yogasana competition as a way to showcase discipline, strength, focus, balance, and years of dedicated practice.
Can yoga be both?
After all…
Running can be meditation or a race.
Dance can be self-expression or competition.
Yoga can be spiritual practice, personal growth, and athletic excellence.
Maybe the real question isn’t whether yoga should be competitive…
Maybe it’s whether competition can be approached with the same mindfulness, humility, and respect that yoga teaches.
What do you think?
1.Yoga is not a sport
2.Yogasana is a sport
3.Both can exist together
