Open Letter to AMAA Students and Families,
As you are aware, a State of Emergency has been declared at both the Federal and State level. As such, we are obligated to comply with Gov. Beshear’s orders to cease operations. Effective today, March 18th at 5pm we are directed to suspend IN-PERSON martial arts training at the school. Effective this Friday, March 20th at 5pm we are directed to suspend our Day Camp operations. However, we have a plan to provide martial arts training for you/your child. We have set up an AMAA Facebook Group page where we will provide martial arts training, life skill lessons, and inspirational thoughts for all AMAA families listed as American Martial Arts Online Classes. I ask all of you to ensure the student takes part in the on-line classes as it will provide exercise, stress relief, and give them an outlet to all the bad news and uncertainty we are being inundated with. I ask all parents to be our “assistant instructors” and coach your child based upon the instruction we provide online. The staff will be sending each of you an invite to the Group page. Additionally, if you have any issues or concerns, please contact Ms. Jessie at 270-590-2001 or email [email protected]
We will evaluate our status on a weekly basis and rest assured, we WILL re-open as soon as our elected leaders deem it safe to do so. These are uncharted waters that all Americans are in. I challenge all us to be resilient and to be AmeriCANs; not AmeriCAN’Ts. We will see you online!
