Good luck to and in their athletic endeavors this weekend.

Garrett is now a seasoned competitor and will be in the Strongman side of the Tampa Bay Games in the Iron Podium.

Fernando will be competing in the CrossFit team edition of the Tampa Bay Games.

They both have been working and grinding very hard over the last few months. Majority of the time they are working out by themselves.

Shoutout and good luck to Baermann Strong athlete Fernando at his first Florida Grid League match of the season.

He has put in so much work this offseason to become the athlete he has. So much progress all because of his determination to be the best. He is relatively young in his development and I cannot wait to see how much he grows in the future.

Working through the aches and pains. If you train multiple times per week, you know not everyday you are going to feel your best.

Somedays you will be able to cinch your belt a little tighter and keep moving. That was me today. Slept wrong and had a nice little pinched nerve somewhere in my middle/lower back. I was able to still get in the gym, work through the pain/stiffness and get a good workout in.

Sometimes scaling back, changing movements is completely okay and recommended. I did change my metcon and limited my movement to some mono structural work with running and on the bike. Much better for me to get up and move tomorrow.

No pain no gain is the wrong mantra. For 99% of you, getting fitter means getting better at life. If your fitness is getting in the way of that, rethink your fitness.

Some gymnastics! Great complex to work on grip strength and some virtuosity. Can you easily switch from Strict to Kipping to Butterfly. Regular Pull-ups and C2B.
