Our canoe/kayak/tube rental trips are all UPSTREAM of the affected section of river mentioned in this post. The water discharged into the Cedar River from the water treatment issue is happening DOWNSTREAM on a different section of river and does not affect our safe operation.

We will be operating as usual this upcoming Friday, Saturday, and Sunday. There are only 2 more weekends left in our 2026 summer season. We hope to see you out on the river!

**Cedar River Contamination Advisory**

Water downstream of Gladwin City Park has tested high for E. coli and is under a contamination advisory. Full body contact with the water is not recommended, due to high bacteria levels.

300 E. coli per 100mL is the advisory threshold. Current results are 365 E. coli per 100mL. Water quality will be retested later today, with results posted tomorrow.

The recently reported partially-treated wastewater released into the Cedar River does NOT affect our safe operations. The wastewater treatment plant is downstream of the section of river we utilize, and would not have an impact on water quality for our canoe, kayak, and tubing trips. We will remain open as usual.

We want to give a huge thank you to everyone who used our services over the holiday weekend. In our opinion, there is no better way to celebrate 250 years of freedom than floating down the Cedar River.
