Another season in the books!!!!
The state meet was cold in the morning and cool and somewhat windy in the afternoon.
At the conclusion of the meet we had a couple PR'S (Colton in the 110 Hurdles and Matthew in the discus) and two all state finishers (Drake with a 4th in the pole vault and Trace with a 5th in the long jump.

Tomorrow is the big day!!!!! Finals in Hamilton.

We had quite the week/weekend. With the regional meet in Cadillac on Friday...at least most of it. Our 4x400 relay team had to go back Monday to finish the meet. That was a first for us. At the conclusion of the meet (and with our early qualifiers) we have 10 guys headed to the State Finals!
•Long Jump - Trace Corlew
•Pole Vault - Drake Ross
•110 Hurdles - Colton Pfenninger
•Discus - Matthew Crandall
•400 - Myles Robinson
•4x100 - Trace Corlew, Brady Dickinson, Erik Roggow and Colton Pfenninger.
•4x400 - Andrew von Matt, Myles Robinson, Ben Verellen and Elijah Christensen.

This week, we also took some team pictures.

The guys team split up again this Friday. Two distance guys traveled to Shepherd for an elite 3200, while the rest of the team traveled to Meridian for their Nite Trax meet. Many PR's were set again and a second school record fell. Senior Drake Ross took down the pole vault record with a vault of 14' 2.5"!

The team split up yesterday, with most of the team going to the Kent City Invitational and some of the distance guys going to Romeo for the Barnyard Invitational. Many PR's were set and one group had to deal with delays and running in the rain...we'll let you guess which group had good weather. 😁

Congratulations to Trace Corlew for breaking the 63 YEAR OLD record in the long jump!!!!!! Trace jumped 22' 6" to take down the old record of 21' 9.5" set in 1962 by Doug Redman.

Another meet in the books. We traveled to Cadillac last night where we had many PR'S and lots of fun.
