Today we celebrate the freedoms we enjoy and honor the brave men and women who have served and sacrificed to protect them.

Whether you're spending the day with family, cheering at a parade, or getting in a few miles, we hope you have a safe and meaningful Independence Day.

Eight years. Every single race. Not once have we had to wonder if our runners were in good hands, because OSF St. Francis Hospital & Medical Group has been right there from the very beginning.

Since our first race in 2018, OSF has provided first aid support at every MISH event, quietly making sure every runner crosses the finish line safely. That kind of commitment doesn't go unnoticed. We are endlessly grateful for your team, your care, and your dedication to our running community. 💙

Year after year, Embers Credit Union returns as our Presenting Sponsor, not because it's a transaction, but because it's a commitment. A commitment to this community, to these athletes, and to the belief that something worth running 26.2 miles for is worth showing up for.

And show up they do.

If you crossed that finish line a week ago and heard someone cheering you on like you were their own, there's a good chance it was an Embers volunteer. Rain or shine they are there.
