We just said farewell to our 2025-2026 Junior Miss Gladewater Rodeo Elyse Boles, but she is competing for Miss Rodeo Texas Teen this week in Amarillo under her Gladewater title! She’s gotten all checked in and has already been busy. She won’t have her phone until the competition is over, so drop by here in the comments to wish her luck. We are rooting for you, Elyse!!!

We had the one and only Emily Hobbs Photography back at our rodeo this year, and all of the pictures are ready for purchase through the link! She works incredibly hard and is incredibly talented. She drives a good ways to us and makes her living this way, so please refrain from screenshotting photos. She does have a package deal for multiple photos, so if you’re interested in that, please message her business page. She captured everything from the mutton bustin’ to the bulls each night. 🤠 THE 4TH AND FINAL NIGHT IS A WRAP! 🐑🏆

Just like that, our 2026 Mutton Bustin’ season has officially come to a close!

I want to extend a massive, heartfelt THANK YOU to all of the parents. From registration to check-ins and getting the kids ready behind the chutes, you made this entire week such a smooth and wonderful process.

More than anything, thank you for sharing your kids with us. Every single one of you is raising incredibly kind, gritty, and sportsmanlike little buckaroos. Watching them high-five each other, dust themselves off with a smile, and cheer on their fellow riders was the absolute best part of the week.

I look forward to the Mutton Bustin’ event every single year, and this week reminded me exactly why. Thank you all for making it so special, and we can't wait to see you back out on the dirt next year! 🏟️✨

The dirt is packed, the calves are ready, and the show starts at 8:15 PM! 🤠

If your kids want a piece of the action tonight, listen up for the Calf Scramble announcement during the show. No pre-registration required!

When you hear the call, walk your kiddos down to the Northwest or Northeast gates by the chutes. Our staff will be there to safely es**rt them onto the dirt.

🚨 LAST MINUTE SAFETY CHECK: * Please remember to use the gates only—absolutely no hopping or dropping kids over the railings! * Parents, please talk to your kids right now and instruct them to exit through the same gate they entered so you can find each other easily afterward. We lose track of kids every year, so let's keep them safe!

Heading to the rodeo tonight with the kids? Here is your quick checklist for our youth events! 📝👇

Mutton Bustin’ Check: Reminder, this was a pre-registered event and is closed.

Calf Scramble Gates: When it's time for the scramble, head to the Northwest or Northeast corners by the chutes. Do not climb or drop kids over the rails!

The Exit Plan: We lose track of kids every year! Talk to your child before they enter and instruct them to return to the same gate they went in when the event is over.

Adults: Cheer from the stands! No adults are allowed on the arena dirt.

Gladewater, you know how we do it! A little rain never stopped a cowboy, and let’s be honest—rodeo in the mud is so much more fun anyway! 🐎🌧️

We’re keeping a close eye on the radar, but around here, a wet arena is just business as usual. Here is our official game plan:

Rain? We ride! Grab your boots, throw on a poncho, and get ready for some wild, muddy action.

Lightning? Safety first! If lightning rolls in, we will briefly pause the action and delay the show. As soon as it passes, we’ll pick right back up where we left off!

Dust off those hats, pack your rain gear just in case, and come ready for an unforgettable night.
