Had a good weekend on the New River. Went camping and fishing. Fished our last tournament of the year and picked up the win and big fish. The river was stingy, but I barely caught enough. Camping, fishing, and hanging out with friends made it a good time. Back to work tomorrow after a week off. Tired but recharged.

I had one of the best evenings I have ever had on the North Fork. Fished the North Fork Tournament. Counted your best 3 smallmouth. I had an 18”, 18 3/4”, and a 19 3/4”. It was enough for the win and big fish. The day started a little rough as I fell and scraped up my knee pretty good. I got a hook in my leg shorty after. I just stopped, took off my life jacket, dipped down in the water, and said “Lord, surely this isn’t what you had planned for me this evening”. I talked to God some more, then started back fishing. It was a grind for a little while then I noticed a small pattern and it was 🔥. All my bigger fish came off that pattern. Blessed day on the water and even more so to catch some fish. I enjoy these get together tournaments a lot.

Been playing in the shop this windy morning. I like the new craw mold and the color as well. I call it Mtn Magic. Same color in all the photos. So hard to get the colors to show without professional set ups.

Considering how little time I had to put into the channel last year this number is amazing. Thank you to every one that took the time to watch, like, and subscribe to my channel. I have some goals for 2023 that I hope will make things better and more interesting.

Always a good day when you can catch a few on your own baits. Bill's was 19.25" and mine was 18.5". Caught quite a few more and even caught "twin 15's". Good day.

Finally got back into the lab playing around with some new colors. I like it, may see if the fish like it next weekend.
