Good morning, Fortis friends.
I’m unfortunately having to make this post regarding the Fortis firing range.

For the past few months, I’ve kept the main gate closed so I could brief everyone as they came in about the no targets closer than 100 yards rule. This rule wasn’t made for fun— it was put in place after a member and guest laid one of the steel gongs on the ground at an angle. As rounds hit the plate, they skipped off because it was essentially a 45-degree ricochet generator.

As gun owners, basic common sense should tell you not to do things like that on a firing range. It’s not complicated.

That said… within the last week or so, someone placed a target at about the 50-yard mark.
Absolutely not. You were briefed at the gate: NO TARGETS CLOSER THAN THE 100-YARD LINE.

So here’s the deal:

If another target is placed inside 100 yards on the rifle range, your membership will be canceled and you will be banned from the range. No discussion. No second warnings. No refunds.

And to be clear: if this continues, the entire rifle range will be permanently closed.

Don’t be that guy that screws it up for everyone because I WILL out your name to all other members.

Have a great day everyone!

Hey friends!
I’m looking to do some bartering
I have a nice XD 40 subcompact with case/paperwork. Shot once.
About 7-8 mags for it , some being extend mags. Ammo bag with $600-$700 in ammo for it as well. Also comes with a speed loaded for the mags.
I’ll even engrave something on it if you would like to sweeten the deal more.
I’m looking for a super quiet small portable generator that’s at least a 2k watt and possible a Milwaukee fan that runs on the Milwaukee batteries.
If you would like pics of everything, message me.

Hey friends,

A few days ago, I shared a post about a new outreach program I’m launching through Fortis Defense. The goal is to offer a crash course in CPR and provide free NARCAN/NALOXONE kits to those who are homeless or at high risk of encountering an opioid overdose situation.

But I also want to extend this offer to anyone with kids heading off to college—or already there. If you’d like to equip them with a box containing two doses of NARCAN and learn how to use it, I’d be more than happy to help. I’ll show you how to administer it and go over the signs of an overdose.

This can be life-saving info. Just message me if you’re interested.

Attention range members!
The automatic entry gates for the range will be operational today, Wednesday 4/24.
The RFID key fob you were issued at the time of your membership will be required for entry to the range. If you have lost your key fob, a new one is available. There is a $25 replacement fee for each one. If you did not receive one when you signed up, please contact me to have one issued to you.
Just a reminder on how to use the key fob and what it looks like…
It’s the small white plastic rectangle that has Fortis Defense on it that attaches to your key chain. When you approach the double green gates, on the driver side there is the keypad with a small scanner to the left side of it, simply swipe your fob across the scanner and the gates will open and automatically close behind you in less than one minute. Please remember there is no piggybacking on vehicles meaning only one vehicle at a time. If you have multiple vehicles in your party, wait for the gate to close then scan an additional fob from the member in the next vehicle. When you leave the range and approach the gates for exit, slowly pull close to them and the sensor will open the gates. The gates open INWARD/towards you as you exit. Do not get so close that the gates may hit your vehicle. Fortis Defense is not responsible for any vehicle damage due to gate strikes so use caution when entering and exiting the gates. If the sensor does not pick your vehicle up, back up and try again. Vehicle sensors are temperamental so it may take a few times to sense the vehicle over it.
Your membership must be current to the day for granted access.
If your current key fob does not grant you access you have not been issued a fob, please contact me at 903-331-2542.

Thank you!
Kevin
