Qualifying was great tonight for Zach and Owen. The line up was interesting with Zach right behind Owen on the outside. They worked it out and Zach won his qualifying heat with Owen finishing in 3rd. Owen showed great form and they were looking forward to the main event. They saw the exact same situation for the feature and hoped for the best.
A 50 lap limited late model race is not for the faint of heart…especially as the last race of the night following a modified race and pro 4 modified race with a lot of cautions (including a red flag and lots of speedy dry). I’m not sure what was in the water, but both cars sustained a lot of damage in an incident involving multiple cars on the backstretch. Someone drove up over Zach’s car and Owen had damage as well. Both cars pulled into the pits. Zach’s car had too much damage to return, but he jumped out of his car to help Owen get back out on the track. A true teammate and some brotherly love! It was not the night we hoped for, but when you look for the good on the evening, that was a nice moment. Owen made it back out and had his fastest lap time ever!! He finished in 6th.

Week two in the books for Zach and Owen. The crisp and cool temperatures brought Zach home in 2nd!! From a wrecked race car to podium! Kudos to Lightning Chassis and the crew that put the car back together to get Zach to the track this week!!

Owen came in 6th and is getting better and better! The car needs some tweaks, but it’s handling well and Owen is getting more and more valuable seat time.

It was not the season opener we were hoping for, but we choose to look for the good! Owen got better and better all day. Changes here and there will have him improving every week. He is learning with every minute of seat time. He had a great first race! Zach was solid all day. His car was coming together right before a caution as he gained on cars in front. The restart had cars making contact and unfortunate contact left Zach’s car stuck to another and there is quite a bit of damage. Zach and Owen will be back next week looking to learn more and improve.

You win some, you lose some and you learn some! Another successful season in the books for Zach and Owen!

Some unfortunate contact in practice caused damage to Owen’s car that we could not fix at the track.The team was trying their best to get the car back together, but it was not meant to be. A giant thank you to Tim O'Shea for letting Owen borrow a car for qualifying and the feature. Let’s say that there was a learning curve in swapping cars, but Owen did Owen things to bring home the honorary 8z in 9th.

Zach won his qualifying and started 10th in the Super Street feature. It was a triple crown race with a lot of fast cars in front of him. He had a near miss with a spinning car that caused significant damage early in the race, but his miraculous save led the 7z to a 4th place finish. Nice racing Zach! 50 laps was not enough to show off how awesome your car was!

It is not official, but it looks like Owen will finish 4th in points his first year in the mini stocks and rookie of the year, and Zach finished 3rd! They both finished the year with 2 wins!! They could not accomplish this without the incredible help of their team. These guys offer their time, talent and support to these boys because they want them to succeed! Thank you to the sponsors that also support this race team!!

There will be a lot of changes coming! We will keep you posted;)

The last night of racing makes me nostalgic. Zach and Owen have changed so much! Progress every year and every race! Hoping for a good night, but so proud of all the team has accomplished since 2021.
