One of the biggest things I see being missed with young hitters is body movement drills. Most coaches focus on swing work which is great but we need to focus on the little things. Build a strong foundation from the ground up while focusing on staying balanced through the entire swing process. Some body movement drills that are great to use are the Stride Drill, the Separation Drill, Half Turns and Full turns. Many young hitters want to skip over these but if they want to build an elite swing these are things that should be worked on daily.
