Luna moths are so gorgeous and big and cool looking, and I get so excited when I'm around for their visits, which seem to always be around this time in June.
Today I started wondering why I don't see them more - do they migrate like monarchs? Is there some predator that is prevalent here that keeps them at bay? So I took a quick break from my yard work to hang with my BFF Google.
Turns out, once they become adults, luna moths DON'T EAT. AT ALL. So they only live for about a week, on the food they ate as caterpillars.
I'm honored this guy chose to spend some of his valuable time at ENL today!
