VOLUME UP 🔊🔊 Spring clover is playing out so the homemade 20% protein mix is pretty attractive until summer plots get here. 3 years into habitat restoration and we’re starting to hear wild quail throughout the property. Patience is key. And it’s a great day when you get to hear quail whistling in the wild.

Winter plots with clover and wheat are doing their thing and summer plots are going in the ground in the next few weeks. To make sure that they get what they need, a 20% protein soybean meal/corn mix is fed free choice.

Quail season may have ended for us but we are always looking at the future. Planting sassafras, chinquapin pin oak, persimmon, crab apple, and plum trees.

Today’s work is tomorrow’s reward.
