⭐ A few fun facts about Lisa!
> AFAA: If you could only focus on one muscle group for the rest of the year, which would it be and why?
>> LISA: The heart would be my focus muscle. While it’s not a conventional choice like the biceps or quads, it’s the engine that powers everything we do. As a cardiac muscle, it’s unique—working 24/7, beating around 100,000 times per day, and pumping over 2,000 gallons of blood throughout our body!
Training for heart health through cardio exercise doesn’t just improve cardiovascular fitness—it has cascading benefits throughout the body. A stronger heart pumps more blood with each beat, delivers oxygen more efficiently to working muscles, and helps maintain healthy blood pressure.
The fascinating thing about heart training is its adaptability—you can strengthen it through such diverse activities as running, swimming, dancing, or even vigorous gardening. When you think about it, every other fitness goal depends on having a strong, healthy heart. It’s the ultimate investment in lifelong health and vitality!
> AFAA: What’s a fitness goal you’ve achieved that you’re most proud of?
>> LISA: One of my proudest fitness achievements was establishing a decade-long community program at Gillette Stadium.
It wasn’t just the physical space—though having access to an iconic venue was amazing! What made it truly special was creating an inclusive wellness community that broke down barriers to fitness. ⭐
