VOLUME IS INSIGNIFICANT WITHOUT INTENSITY

I’m probably going to hurt some feelings here…. Most of you are not training hard enough.
-
I know that the world we live in no one likes to be called out anymore. Honestly, that is probably our biggest problem. Go find someone to hold you accountable. Or even better, figure out how to hold yourself accountable!
-
When it comes to strength training tracking your volume can be an incredible tool. The problem is, you must account for intensity. Simply going through the motions in your workouts will never yield optimal results! You must push yourself. You must learn to get uncomfortable!
-
To be a cliche as possible, “if nothing changes then nothing changes!”
-
You should not be consistently leaving 3+ reps on the table at the end of each set. Your body is only going to change if you force it. Start tracking your sets, reps and weights. Each week try to improve on what you did the prior week. This 1 simple task will have more impact on progressing your physique than any other component of your training.

I’m super excited to announce our second NFN ONLINE TRANSFORMATION CHALLENGE!!

GET COMFORTABLE BEING UNCOMFORTABLE.

Excuses will get you nowhere.
-
Your comfort zone will only bring more of what you already have.
-
If you want to see a drastic change in any part of your life, you must make a drastic change to what you consistently do!
-
There will never be a perfect time. The stars will never align. You will always have roadblocks.
-
Mental toughness is where it starts. S**t is going to get hard if you want to see real progress. Learn to embrace it instead of running from it. Lean into it. Start to look at the struggle as a positive. If s**ts not hard you likely are not getting better. If you are not getting better you won’t see progress! It goes hand in hand!
-
Enjoy the process but don’t lose sight of the goal. What’s the purpose of the journey if you never reach your destination? Stop spinning your wheels and do the hard s**t!

I promise you won’t regret it! You got this!

BEATING THE COMPETITION IS RELATIVELY EASY. BEATING YOURSELF IS A NEVER ENDING COMMITMENT.

If you REALLY want to win you have to stop looking out the window and start looking in the mirror! If you focus all your energy on being better than you were yesterday then you will inevitably start winning.
-
There are very few things that you will be able to completely control. Stay focused on the things you can. Consistent effort is the key! Stay fixed on your goal but flexible on the path.

NFN ONLINE

It’s hard to believe that there is only 2 years between these pictures. But it’s even harder to believe that the ONLY thing that changed was me following my own app.
-
For years (20+) I had myself convinced that I was training hard enough, using progressive overload and that my body just would not grow any more.
-
Boy was I wrong! Picture on the left I was 39 years old at 202 lbs. picture on the right 41 years old at 242 lbs.
-
We are about to roll into the start of year 3 on the app. For this I am launching my first NFN ONLINE TRANSFORMATION CHALLENGE!

UNREALISTIC EXPECTATIONS.

Unrealistic expectations are killing your progress. When you set unrealistic expectations you will likely feel like a failure. When you feel like a failure you are more likely to quit. When you quit you kill your progress.
-
Anything of value won’t be easy. If it were easy everyone would have it. If everyone had it then it wouldn’t have value.
-
Here we have my progress from June of last year until now. 240.7 vs 242.5. Yes that is a weight change of less than 2 lbs over a 9 month stretch. Lean tissue up 2.3 lbs while dropping body fat 1.1%.
-
The truth that most trainers or influencers don’t want to tell you is, the physique you REALLY want is most likely multiple years away.
-
It is not easy to drastically change your physique. It is not easy to put on a 10+ lbs of muscle. It is not easy to drop 5+% body fat. But that is the value! If everyone had a muscular physique with 6 pack abs there would be no value in it!
-
Your ideal physique is not going to happen over night. It’s probably not going to happen in the next 3, 6 or even 12 months. Yes you will see progress. Yes you will get closer week by week. But please just temper expectations and learn to enjoy the process.
-
If you have the correct plan and you stay consistent it will happen! You just have to give it time.
-
Keep going! YOU’VE GOT THIS!

There’s just something about seeing the sign go up on the building that makes it feel a little more official.
-
5+ years and over 26k sessions since this sign went up on the last location. Today it went back up and I could not be any more thankful for every one of you that has trusted us to help guide you on this journey.
-
So at this point I just want to say THANK YOU! I look forward to seeing more of you walk in these doors.

TAKE A LONG LOOK IN THE MIRROR!

Are you ready, willing and able to give what you are expecting from others?
-
If not, it may be time to rethink those expectations.
-
This should hold true in all areas of your life.
-
Family, friends, business, clients, your significant other…. Just take a second. Step back and look at those relationships. Are you asking more of others than you are giving on a consistent basis? No relationship will be 50/50 all day everyday. That’s ok. It’s a give and take!
-
But if you want someone to show up for you, you must be willing to do the same for them!
