🚨 Gilbert Riders, Take Note! 🚨

New e-bike and electric scooter ordinances are now in effect in Gilbert with a focus on keeping riders, pedestrians, and families safe. 🚴⚡

Key updates include:
✅ 15 MPH speed limit on sidewalks, multi-use paths, and in parks
✅ Riders must yield to pedestrians and give an audible warning when passing
✅ Class 1 & 2 e-bike riders must be at least 12 years old
✅ Class 3 e-bike riders must be at least 16 years old
✅ Helmets are now required for all riders under 18
✅ Reckless riding, riding under the influence, and fleeing law enforcement can result in serious penalties

As e-bikes continue to grow in popularity, knowing the rules helps keep our trails, streets, and neighborhoods safe for everyone.
