Yesterday the Seahawks celebrated the end of the 2026 track & field season. While all athletes were celebrated for their accomplishments; there were several team awards & records broken that were also recognized.

Congratulations to those who were voted by their teammates for the Seahawk Award- those who most exemplified commitment to reaching their potential, were an inspiration to others & a great teammate!

Freshmen: Emi Hansonsmith & Channing Gilbert
Sophomores: Ascher Lascheck & Wyatt Harding
Juniors: Isabella Easley & Ethan Erickson
Seniors: Suri Sardinia & tied for boys Trever Bingham & Nathaniel Hulsey

MVP’s for the season based off of points scored & adjusted for post season points scored.

Boys track: Wyatt Harding with 57.4 points
Girls track: Emi Hansonsmith with 31.5 points
Boys field: Yashua Fonoti with 39.5 points
Girls field: Suri Sardinia with 238 points

School records that were broken this 2026 season were,

Suri Sardinia
Girls shot put with a throw of 42’ 3.75”! Beating her own school record.
Girls discus with a throw of 145’6”! Beating the record previously set by Michala Zilkey in 2014.

Boys 4x2 team of Xavier Jones, Cuda Ferencik, Anthony Valenzuela & Jacob Johnson with a time of 1:32.05! Previously set in 2015!

‼️🚨STATE CHAMPION ALERT🚨‼️

Suri Sardinia WINS girls 3A discus with a throw of 145’6”!! Also breaking her own personal and school record! Today Suri added gold to her silver hardware from yesterday, where she placed 2nd in 3A girls shot put!

The Seahawks showed up and competed against Curtis & South Kitsap at the last regular season of the meet of the year. An amazing amount of Seahawks got personal best marks to round out the regular season.

The first weekend of May select Seahawks were invited to the last invitational of the season at Sparks Stadium in Puyallup. Our athletes came out strong and all of our distance runners who competed got a personal best time!
