Hurricanes families:
Training will continue as usual through the remainder of May.
Sundays 5:45-7:15
Mondays 6:30-8:00
Wednesdays 6:30-8:00
May 21, 25, 26 and 28.
All of the 12U team plan to come tomorrow…wear your team shirt for a group photo.

June and July we’ll take a break.
Definitely look over those wrestling camps I posted. Hit those and hit the gym.

We’ll start back signing kids up at the end of July for an August 3rd kick off.

DAY TWO….National Duals
Our 12U, keep in mind this Hurricanes team are all rookies…meaning training for 2 or less years. However, a majority of these guys have only been training with us for 6 months.
We faced some teams that had kids training for 8 years.
Teams we faced were from Georgia, Alabama, Tennessee and North Carolina.
We were in a pool of 4.
Then we moved into a double elimination tournament set up.
5 matches on the day.

Our kids learned…
What fluid motion looks like; Gained through drilling, drilling and more drilling.
Strength: years of live wrestling and strength training.
Confidence: Results from the above.

Bad news…went 0-5
Good news…we competed!
Good news…we are young, most will be available for 12U next year!

DAY ONE IS IN THE BAG…
Nice start to the Southern Throne for the Hurricanes!:
Ryln: 1st....down with 24 seconds and pulled out a nice reversal!
Nate: 3rd (rookie) and 2nd (novice)
Liam: 1st...in a dog fight for first, flipped the kid and pinned with 1 second left on the clock.
Clark: 2nd...questionable call in the finals!
Mason: 2nd (rookie) and 3rd (novice)
Reagan: 3rd and 1st (novice)
Sutton: 3rd (rookie)

Next up….DAY TWO with the Hurricanes returning to dual team action!

The Hurricanes are in the final countdown for the Myrtle Beach Southern Throne! We restarted the Hurricanes this past December, the support and involvement have been amazing. We’ll be carrying a 12U team down this weekend for a dual team competition! These guys have worked hard…some wrestling for their middle schools and taking no break to prepare. Proud of this young scrappy bunch!
