Mentor May Day 2 was a beautiful reminder of what sports are truly all about. Watching the Deer Lakes High School boys take time to mentor, train, encourage, and connect with the younger soccer players was nothing short of inspiring. It wasn’t just about drills, goals, or skills on the field — it was about building confidence, creating memories, and showing these younger kids what leadership, heart, and passion look like.

You could see the excitement and wonder in the younger players’ eyes every single moment. The laughs, the smiles, the nonstop energy, and the joy of simply being together made the day unforgettable. Every pass, every lesson, every encouraging word meant something. The older boys weren’t just teaching soccer skills — they were inspiring the next generation to believe in themselves, work harder, stay disciplined, and love the game even more.

The music playing, kids running through the water, ice pops on a warm day, and the sound of pure happiness all around created the perfect atmosphere. It was one of those days that reminds you how powerful mentorship and community can be.

To the Deer Lakes Boys Soccer— thank you. Thank you for your patience, leadership, effort, and the way you showed up for these kids. Your willingness to give your time and pour into the younger players made a lasting impact that goes far beyond the soccer field. These kids will remember the way you made them feel, the inspiration you gave them, and the example you set.

This is how the love of the game grows. This is how future leaders are built. ⚽💙

What an incredible start to Mentor May Week! ⚽️💙

Day 1 with the Deer Lakes High School Boys Soccer Team was everything we hoped for and more. From the first drill to the final laughs of the evening, the energy, engagement, and excitement were contagious. Watching these young athletes step up to teach, train, encourage, and connect with our youth players was truly special.

The smiles, the laughter, the high-fives, and the community atmosphere reminded us what this game is really all about — building confidence, creating memories, and bringing people together through soccer. Our youth players looked up to every one of the high school athletes tonight, and the impact they made goes far beyond the field.

A huge THANK YOU to the Deer Lakes Boys team for giving your time, sharing your passion, and being such amazing role models for the next generation. Your leadership and enthusiasm made Day 1 unforgettable!

And the best part? We get to do it all again tomorrow for Round 2! 🔥⚽️ We can’t wait for another night of fun, learning, teamwork, and community.
