We hope that 2023 has started well for everyone.

Bringing all up to speed of the Boys soccer program. Unfortunately, there will not be a winter weightlifting segment. Until further notice, no physical activities will be assigned.

We will later get together once again on the evening of Freshman Orientation. Current student/players of this program will be required to be at our booth as we greet 8th graders interested in signing up for the fall season. At a future moment, we will notify those of our group of when and where to meet for this event.

Stay healthy and stay safe. Thank you,

Well, college football is here again. And this season is very special to the Carlson Boys Soccer program as one of its own is fully participating in it. We're referring to Alec Milley, multiple-sport, 2022 graduate. He was a key Varsity figure on last year's soccer team as a forward and also on football's as their place kicker.

Alec's collegiate debut took place this past Saturday as his new team, Concordia University of Ann Arbor, visited Stetson University out of Deland, FL.

Unfortunately, the Concordia Cardinals fell to the Stetson Hatters 24-14. Regardless of the score, Alec made us proud as he was in the starting lineup and got to perform the initial game kickoff. In addition, he was successful in his couple of point-after attempts. The game was also seen live on ESPN3!

His family was kind enough to share pictures of Alec in action during the game along with a post match pic of him and his wonderful family who made the trip down to Florida to cheer Alec on.

WAY TO GO ALEC!

At halftime, during yesterday evening's match against Melvindale, the Boys Soccer program paid recognition to two wonderful ladies who have been assisting our program for quite some time.
First, Mrs. Leslie Browning. She has been our time keeper for about 5 years now, at first stepping in to cover a last minute vacancy. Since she has taken over the position, Leslie has dedicated herself to our program and we could not be more grateful. Leslie has been a part of GSD athletics since her own kids participated form our many athletic programs. She consistently works in her, now little spare time as a grandmother, to do the most for our little community. Taking on tasks in other sports such as bookkeeping for volleyball.
Next, Mrs. Kim Blakeslee. For ten years, Kim has been THE VOICE of Marauder soccer. In extension of her own tireless efforts with the Carlson Athletic Booster Club, Kim works with multiple sports, lending her voice for our entertainment. As a hard worker, she often heads straight from work to make it to our games on time, and wraps her personal life around her schedule. This dedication and sacrifice cannot go unnoticed.
For their consistent, unwavering support for our program, we extend to each our deepest gratitude. Thank you Leslie and Kim!!!
