Robotics is about so much more than building robots. It’s about showing students how the skills they develop in the lab translate into real-world engineering, manufacturing, and careers right here in our community. Experiences like this help our students connect what they create with what’s possible for their futures.

Thank you for investing in our students, sharing your expertise, and helping them see that the things they dream up and build today could shape the world tomorrow. We’re incredibly grateful for community partners who believe in our kids as much as we do!

🧡🖤 And just like that, our FRC season comes to a close! 🤖🥹

We wrapped up our final offseason event at Rah Cha Cha Ruckus with a SECOND PLACE finish! 🥈 What an incredible way to end what has truly been our best season yet!

To our students, thank you for your hard work, dedication, and growth. Watching you step up, take charge, and accomplish things you once thought impossible makes it all worth it.

To our mentors, thank you for showing up, showing out, and pouring your hearts into these kids. And to our families and supporters, thank you for being part of our journey. 🧡

This season was about so much more than robots. It was about growth, friendships, teamwork, and building something special together.

Our best season yet, and we’re just getting started. 🧡🖤

When this student first came to Rust Belt Robotics, he didn’t even know how to use a screwdriver. 🪛 Today, he’s taking the lead, taking ownership, and built a robot almost entirely on his own.

Watching that kind of growth is something you just can’t put into words. He stepped up to take charge of this second Ruckus robot, turned ideas into reality, and showed us what happens when a student is given the opportunity to learn, grow, and believe in themselves.

We couldn’t be prouder of how B-Teams ruckus robot turned out, but honestly, the robot is only part of the story. The real win is seeing how far this student has come — from learning the basics to confidently leading a build and creating something he can truly call his own.

This is why we do what we do. We’re not just building robots. We’re building confidence, independence, leadership, and the next generation of problem-solvers.

And to this student: we hope you’re as proud of yourself as we are of you. You’ve come a long way, and this is just the beginning. 🧡🖤🤖 👏🏼

We were excited to welcome Sibu Nair to the Rust Belt Robotics lab for a behind-the-scenes tour and an opportunity to connect with our students.

Visits like this are about more than seeing robots in action. They’re about creating meaningful connections between students, technology, industry, and the opportunities that exist beyond the classroom.

Our students had the chance to showcase what they’re building, and share their experiences.

At Rust Belt Robotics, we believe students should have the opportunity to build, create, lead, and imagine a future where they are the innovators.

For the first time, Buffalo State University will host a FIRST Robotics Competition Regional, bringing over 1,000 students from across the region together for a weekend of engineering, competition, innovation, and opportunity.

Think about that for a moment.

Over 1,000 young people in one place—building the future.

For many of these students, FIRST is more than a robotics competition. It’s where they discover confidence, find mentors, meet industry professionals, and begin to see a future they may not have thought was possible.

And we want Buffalo businesses to be part of that experience.
