Gettysburg Youth Soccer Club - GYSC Gettysburg Youth Soccer Club (GYSC) provides soccer training and playing opportunities for both boys and girls in the Gettysburg, PA and surrounding area.

The GYSC coaching staff includes professional trainers as well as qualified non-professional coaches – all with the aim towards providing amazing opportunities for kids to enjoy the “beautiful game.”

U12 Spirit entered tournament weekend with two regular-season wins already under their belts.

The team showed up determined, focused, and ready to compete ... and proved time and time again they were there to win, scoring 18 goals while allowing just four all weekend.

They played strong together, communicating, supporting one another, and always having each other’s backs. Congratulations, Spirit and Coach Ahmed!

You may have seen this little guy roaming around the fields. While our players are working on their passing, shooting, and footwork, he has one very important job: keeping our lines looking sharp. 😎

But there’s a problem...

Our field-painting robot doesn't have a name!

What a way to wrap up an unforgettable summer of camps at GYSC! ⚽☀️

Our August Camp brought the absolute highest energy yet, with players showing off incredible growth while locking down their dribbling, passing, ball control, and shooting.

From our hilarious theme days, featuring crazy socks, colorful tie-dye, and vibrant red, white, and blue, to the high-stakes excitement of our World Cup Friday competitions, every single minute was a blast.

A huge thank you to all of our awesome players, dedicated coaches, and supportive families for making this summer of camps our best one yet!

Do you love the game and have a passion for working with kids? Ready to turn your love for the game into something that inspires the next generation?

Gettysburg Youth Soccer Club (GYSC) is on the lookout for positive, energetic coaches who want to help the next generation grow—on and off the pitch.

🤗 Who We Are

We’re a close-knit club with 12 teams across boys and girls age groups, built on community, connection, and a shared love of the game. Our families are supportive, our players are eager, and our culture is all about learning, development, and fun.

🔎 Who We’re Looking For

Whether you’ve coached before or you're a former player ready to give back, we’d love to hear from you.

What matters most is that you care about kids, love the game, and want to make a difference.

Ideal candidates:
⚽Have some playing or coaching experience
⚽Hold coaching certifications (or are open to getting certified—we’ll help!)
⚽Are strong communicators and positive role models
⚽Know how to make soccer fun and developmentally appropriate

📅 What to Expect

▶️2 practices per week
▶️1–2 games on weekends
▶️4–6 hours/week total commitment
▶️Seasons run March–May (Spring) and August–October (Fall)

💸Paid position (compensation based on experience/certifications)

Our July campers definitely caught World Cup fever this week! From start to finish, the energy, excitement, and passion for the game were on full display. Despite the summer heat, every player showed outstanding effort, a positive attitude, and incredible resilience all week long.

A huge congratulations to Avey and Benji for earning their Juggle Patch during camp this week! Keep up the great work!

Thank you to all of our campers and families for making this another fantastic week. We loved watching players develop their skills, make new friends, and most importantly, have fun playing the beautiful game.
