Chestnut Hills Pool & Campground in Gerton, NC, served the Gerton and Hickory Nut Gorge community and surrounding area (from Asheville to Hendersonville) for almost 40 years. The then state-of-the-art campground brought in campers from around the country. This page is an ongoing tribute to the pool, campground, and the people who both worked at, and visited this recreational area over the years.

(To any newbies, the pool no longer exists. Facebook has locked in old hours, so it is no longer there to swim in).
