The Department of Behavioral & Community Health and the Dutchess County SPCA is hosting a FREE Rabies Vaccination Clinic on August 29th. From 8am to 12pm, your dog, cat or domestic ferret can receive their rabies vaccinations for FREE at the DCSPCA located at 636 Violet Ave, Hyde Park. Pre-registration is required. No walk-ins will be accommodated, so please visit DCSPCA.org to register.

All dogs must be on leash, and cats and domestic ferrets must be in carriers. Vaccinations will be good for three years for pets with proper proof of a prior immunization. For those without proof, the vaccination will be good for one year.

As part of COVID-19 safety precautions, those bringing pets to the clinic are asked to wear face coverings and practice social distancing throughout the event.

Effective April 23rd, 2020, the Town of Germantown has decided to close the dog park until further notice. Unfortunately, we cannot properly manage social distancing and safety during this time and have made this decision after consulting other local dog parks. We'll keep you posted on any changes or updates.

Due to the recent reported rabid fox in Germantown we strongly advise everyone to check their pets rabies vaccine status asap. We are happy to check your pets records for you to see if your pet is up to date.
