Its that time of year again!

Let’s all be respectful and do our part not to destroy our trails and jumps.

We know it’s going to be warm and sunny today. We know you want to ride. But, we got a lot of rain yesterday and the park is saturated. If you ride, you will cause damage. Please don’t be that person. Give the park another day to day. Your trail crew volunteers will thank you!

Hey everyone, just wanted to reach out and provide everyone out there with an update on something that I’ve been working on in the background.

Since 2021 myself and a team of 3 friends within the Mountain BIking/Frederick Community have been working with the City to establish a PUBLIC Paved Pump Track right here in Frederick.

Of course I am beyond stoked to be a part of the team making this happen. Community development and enrichment has always been a driving force behind my actions in life and I can’t express enough about how much of an impact this will have on our community, the surrounding area and the DMV as a whole.

Moving forward, we applied for and secured $150,000 through a State Highway Administration grant.

However in order to satisfy grant requirements we need to raise an additional $41,250 in matching funds to be used towards the park's redevelopment. These funds will also go towards the track as well as the development of a:
- Pavilion
- Bike repair stand
- Tool lock box
- Two benches.

SO although we’ve secured the overall grant the project won’t move forward until we satisfy all the components.

Grant guidelines call for community support to warrant their investment - please help us send that message by donating - ***and If your employer offers any gift matching opportunities please consider applying those resources to this project***

Attached to this post is a flyer, we also ask that you download and share the flyer with your networks, print it off and put it up at work, take it to your local bike shop, coffee shop, rec center, bar, restaurant and see if they are willing to post it. Another super fun and successful MoCo epic family fun day for the memories! Thanks to all who came out and made the day so special. Shout out to the Gravity Soul crew for all they do to bring the stoke. Shout out to Todd Bauer for putting in his heart and soul to South Germantown Bike Park - if it wasn’t for Todd we would not be where we are today. And if you’re reading this and thinking “man I missed out!” Well don’t worry, we’ll be back again next year 🤘

Hey everyone!

It’s been a while since we’ve posted but that’s not because we haven’t been riding and coaching.

Earlier this year Coach Claire and I were offered an amazing opportunity that we couldn’t pass up. We were both asked to join the Montgomery Parks staff as the program leads for the Roots to Rocks bicycle programs. Our new roles have been a major focus throughout the year and have steered us away from our more regular programming.

Helping to deliver the second year of the Trail Ambassador’s program, running group rides and hosting skills clinics on the weekends all over Montgomery County has been so meaningful.

Our goal as bike coaches has always been to help more people gain confidence on their bikes and realize the joy that riding a bike can bring. We’ve made a lot of new friends and gotten to share in some amazing moments throughout the community. Being able to utilize Montgomery Parks resources to reach a larger audience is something we hope we get to keep doing for the foreseeable future.
