A Note from Mr K:

Please make sure that your children have the appropriate sunscreen and bug repellants in plastic bags marked with their names. We will make sure that these are applied as needed and will not be supplying any ourselves because of issues of potential reactions or sensitivity.

We will also be spending as much time outside no matter what the weather so please supply your child(ren) with rain gear, change of clothes, towel and appropriate water shoes as well as footwear with which they will be comfortable walking over variable terrain. If it is hot and the weather permits we will also spend time in the lake so if your child(ren) requires a swimming aid they should bring it along. We will generally not go into deeper water and will investigate marine life in the shallows, but want to make sure the campers feel comfortable coming in.

Due to guidance from the State regarding COVID-19, we will not be supplying any snacks or lunch. Each child must bring their own and will not be allowed to share it with anyone else. You should also include 2 masks should we require to wear them for any reason during camp. Please enclose them in a plastic bag marked with the campers’ names. We will have hand sanitizer available but should you prefer that your child(ren) have their own please send it along with them.

Parents or other family members are also welcome to stay for the day or part of the day through-out the week and join in the activities/learning along with the child(ren). They will also have to do the COVID-19 temperature check and answer the questionnaire before coming into the camp area.

I am looking forward to a great camp after being inside and apart from others most of the Spring. The kids will be learning without knowing they are doing so and this should make for great conversations in the afternoon!

Hello camper families,

Camp starts on Monday! We wanted to update you on what procedures will be to ensure your kids have a fun, engaging time while remaining safe.

As a quick reminder, camp is Monday through Friday, from 9am to 1pm. Please provide your child with a packed snack and lunch every day. While we plan to spend our time outdoors and respect social distancing guidelines, please provide your children with a mask to wear in the unlikely event that we'll need to be indoors.

Upon arrival, BEFORE exiting the car, your child's temperature will be taken using a medical non-contact thermometer and a standard set of questions will be asked. Any child whose temperature is over 100 will not be able to take part in that day's activities and will be sent home. Replies to the questionnaire will be logged in a spreadsheet and saved for 30 days.

We'll be wearing gloves whenever necessary. Children will be assigned a location marked with a hula hoop to store their personal belongings apart from everyone else's. Any supplies we provide will be isolated and reserved for the child using them to avoid any sharing.

For one of the first activities we'll be doing, please provide your children with a cleaned milk or juice carton (the tall, narrow kind like this: https://static.turbosquid.com/Preview/2017/03/01__09_47_53/MilkCarton01.png7330FC04-B8BE-4D21-92F8-B5E1EBCA761FLarge.jpg

We're looking forward to a great week of camp!
