Two Saturdays ago was one for the books! We were honored to be invited to take part in the Queenslake Mogadishu Mile Veterans Fundraiser — and even more excited to announce that we’re now the exclusive tattoo shop for this incredible annual event! 🇺🇸 Huge thanks to all the veterans who stopped by for some ink — it was an absolute privilege to tattoo our heroes and be part of such an amazing cause!

Food for Our Community!

Another successful Mogadishu Mile is in the books, and once again, the Queenslake community has shown its incredible heart! This year’s 5th annual event did more than test the endurance of our runners; it helped feed Scott County.

We are thrilled to announce that food donations collected from the finish line have been delivered to The AMEN House! A huge thank you to Michele Carlisle for stopping by to help make this possible.

Year after year, Queenslake’s support for The AMEN House through this annual fundraiser showcases the power of community. The AMEN House has a BOLD mission of ending hunger in Scott County, and with a volunteer force of more than 500 people, they serve over 1,000 families each month through food assistance, clothing, and wraparound services.

The AMEN House stands as a testament to community, compassion, and the life-changing ripple effects of helping just one person take the next step forward.

Thank you to every runner, volunteer, and donor who made this possible! Together, we are making a real difference.

A MASSIVE shoutout and a heartfelt THANK YOU to the incredible members of American Legion Post 24! Their support for the 5th Annual Mogadishu Mile was nothing short of amazing, and we truly couldn't have done it without them.

Their commitment started way back in May when they hosted the Post 24 Volunteer Appreciation Dinner, setting the stage for a great event. Then, they rolled up their sleeves and held a Poker Run fundraiser to help make it all possible.

But that was just the beginning! On the day of the event, Post 24 was absolutely pivotal. They were the backbone of our operation, handling:
✅ Setup and Teardown
✅ Picking up all the donations, food, printing, flowers, signs, and yes... even the crucial bourbon!
✅ They participated in the race and the tributes with passion and respect.

And perhaps most memorably, they were our loudest and most enthusiastic cheerleaders, getting louder and more supportive as the day went on, pushing every team to do their best.

Their unwavering dedication was the difference-maker.
