AR RIFLE SHOOT
Georgetown Fish and Game will be conducting an AR Rifle Shoot on the Big Bore Rifle Range on Sunday, 14 September, 2025 at 1:30 PM.
This will be a scored event, utilizing a 100 yard target.
Open to any AR-style, chambered in .223/556 semi-auto rifle.
This will be “iron” sight shoot – open sights, no scopes, red dots, lasers, etc…
Participants should bring:
1. A safe and serviceable rifle
2. Eye and ear protection
3. At least 50 rounds of ammunition.

Course of Fire
Participants will have 10 minutes to fire 25 rounds on the target. The target will then be scored.
All firing will be from the bench, seated, and any free rest will be allowed. A free rest is defined as any rest, and does not physically lock the rifle into position.
A prize of $50 will be presented to the highest scorer. A $25 prize will be awarded to the second place winner.

We are hosting a class Archery for New Bowhunters. This class is designed for members who already have equipment and are looking for assistance in getting prepared for the upcoming bow hunting seasons. Goal is to get new bow hunters sighted in at 20 yards and shooting confidently. We will discuss how to range distance, shot placement and techniques for bow hunters. Please ensure to bring all gear that you would like assistance with. I will bring along a broadhead target but please bring at least 5-6 arrows with field points for sighting in and practicing on club target(s).

When: 9/7 or 9/21 from 2pm to 4pm.
Where: Small archery range (next to the clubhouse on the right).
Members only ages 18+
Must bring own equipment.
Limit of 12 students per class.
First come first serve.
Please specify which class you want to attend 9/7 or 9/21.
$10 per person.
Must bring own equipment.

The club will have the last .22 rifle silhouette shoot of the year on Sunday the 3rd of November at 1:30. There will be a cash prize of a hundred dollars for the best shooter and a brick of CCI target ammo for second place.

If you haven't shot silhouette, this is a great time to try out how well you can plink those metal target animals at various distances.

.22 RIMFIRE RIFLE SHOOT

Georgetown Fish and Game will be conducting a .22 Rimfire Rifle Shoot On the Big Bore Rifle Range on Sunday, 29 September, 2024 at 1:30 PM.
This will be a scored event, utilizing an ARA target.
Open to any .22 LR rifle - semi-auto, pump/slide action, lever-action, bolt-action, or single shot.
Participants must provide:

A safe and serviceable .22 caliber rimfire rifle
Eye and ear protection
At least 50 rounds of .22 LR ammunition.

Course of Fire
Participants will have 7 minutes to fire 25 rounds, one round fired into each of the 25 bulls on the target. The extended time is to allow those with single-shot rifles, small capacity magazines and tube fed rifles enough time to reload as needed and complete the course of fire.
Two minutes allowed for 3 designated sighters, prior to shooting for score.
There will be one set distance of 50 yards; participants may shoot with any power scope or open sights.
All firing will be from the bench, seated, and any free rest will be allowed. A free rest is defined as any variation of rest, but one that does not physically lock the rifle into position.

A $75 cash prize will be presented to the highest scorer.

.22 RIMFIRE RIFLE SHOOT
Georgetown Fish and Game will be conducting a .22 Rimfire Rifle Shoot On the Big Bore Rifle Range on Sunday, 04 February, 2024 at 1:30 PM.
This will be a scored event, utilizing an ARA target.
Open to any .22 LR rifle - semi-auto, lever-action, bolt-action, or single shot.
Participants should bring:
1. A safe and serviceable .22 caliber rimfire rifle
2. Eye and ear protection
3. At least 50 rounds of .22 LR ammunition.

Course of Fire

A $50 gift certificate will be presented to the highest scorer for each of the two distances.

2024 Battle of the Bulge shoot participants.

The Battle of the Bulge event will be held on Sunday 12/31/23 at 1:30PM. George Kneeland will direct the activities.

The event is open to members and up to one guest each.

World War II rifles from any country may be used. There will be two categories, bolt action and semi automatic.

The Big bore range will be closed to other shooters until the event is completed.
