A Dream Years in the Making… Now a Reality!

Today, we are incredibly excited, humbled, and grateful to announce that we are officially the owners of one of the best Jiu-Jitsu schools in Central Texas! What started as a dream has become a reality, and we couldn’t be more thankful for this amazing opportunity. A huge thank you to John for trusting us to continue the legacy, culture, and community that you worked so hard to build. Your impact has changed countless lives, and we are honored to carry that torch forward.

To our students, families, coaches, and supporters—thank you for believing in us and being part of this journey. This academy has always been more than a gym; it’s a family, a place where confidence is built, goals are achieved, and lives are changed through Jiu-Jitsu. We are filled with excitement for what the future holds and are committed to continuing to provide the highest level of coaching, mentorship, and leadership for our community.

Today, we pause to remember and honor the brave men and women who gave their lives in service to our country. Memorial Day is more than a long weekend — it is a reminder that freedom has been paid for through sacrifice, courage, and love of country. As a veteran, this day means a great deal to me. We remember our fallen brothers and sisters who answered the call and never made it home. But we must also remember their families — the spouses, children, parents, and loved ones who continue to carry that sacrifice every single day. Their strength and resilience should never be forgotten. Here at John’s Gym Georgetown, we are proud to have such a strong veteran community. The bond of service, brotherhood, and looking out for one another never truly leaves us. Today we stand together in remembrance, gratitude, and respect for those who gave everything.
May we never forget the fallen.
May we never forget their families.
And may we always honor their legacy through the way we live, lead, and serve others.

A Great day today for the Johns Gym Georgetown team. Incredible turnout for our first annual We Defy 5K Ruck & Roll and an even better time hanging out together afterward sharing some amazing food. Huge thank you to our entire team, families, sponsors, and everyone who came out to support this event.

Because of all of YOU, we raised over $5,000 for We Defy; more than doubling our original goal! That’s truly something special and will go directly toward helping combat veterans through Jiu Jitsu.

So Proud to be part of this team and this community. Looking forward to the next event!
