Start today with purpose.

You don’t need to have everything figured out. You just need to take the next step.

Show up with energy.
Work with intention.
Lead with confidence.
And don’t let yesterday’s challenges steal today’s opportunity.

The small things you do today—when nobody is watching—are building the person and the future you want tomorrow.

Be disciplined. Be positive. Be relentless.

Make today count. 💪

🏆 HISTORIC DAY AHEAD FOR SCOTT COUNTY CROSS COUNTRY! 👟🔥

What started just three years ago as an ambitious idea is now on track to be the largest cross country race ever held in Scott County!

On Saturday, September 5th, the 3rd Annual Run Wild Fall Classic returns to the Georgetown Soccer Complex! Schools from all over the region are heading our way for a massive day of competition, community, and fun.

Here is what makes this year truly special:

🍦 Popsicles with the SCPD: The Scott County Police Department will be hanging out all day and handing out cold popsicles to every single competing athlete!

🤠 “Run Wild” Custom Awards: Forget small medals. The top 25 finishers in every single race win custom, signature large belt buckles!

📣 The Overall XC Spirit Award: Bringing the loudest fans? Your team could take home the coveted Spirit Award (held by St. John School from last year!).

We are a proud sponsor of this event!

Run Wild coach and 13-time state champ Ron Duncan says it best: “Our team is looking to build on their recent successes and develop our runners for longevity in the sport.” It’s all about building a lifelong love for running!

📅 Save the Date: Saturday, September 5th📍 Location: Georgetown Soccer Complex

What a great evening of racing at the Beat the Heat invite in Woodford County. Last night is a testament to our consistent training throughout the summer. I believe every runner on our team achieved a PR on this course compared to last year. Our results are below:

K-3 Girls:

Addison Williams cruised to a 2nd place finish overall in a time of 6:40.87. This beats last year's time of 7:56.79!

Reagan Mays wasn't far behind placing 5th overall with time of 7:04.04. She also beat last year's time of 8:24.77

Claire Shanks finished strong in what we believe is her PR of 8:19.06. She finished 39th overall!

Nora Welch had a great first XC race running 8:59.43. She just recently joined the team. Her mom was a state champion in KY back in the day and a dominate miler.

K-3 Boys:

Silas Wright who recently joined our team cruised to a 9th place finish overall and a time of 6:33.60.

Ben Hyatt ran hard for a 17th place finish and a time of 6:45.83!

Rhys Houghton had a huge kick on his way to his fastest time on the course of 7:44.25. Last year he ran 9:10.

Braxton Lyons also ran a huge PR on this course of 8:03.65. Last year he ran 10:17.

Maxwell Jones cruised to the line in 9:28.84. This is only Max's second XC race and a huge improvement from his first race.

4-5 Girls:

Hadley Wilhoite led the way with a strong 2nd place finish! She ran 6:11.20 and nearly caught first place. Last year she ran 7:16.65 at this meet. This was a huge performance for Hadley!

Valoree Maxberry was right behind her in 3rd place overall with a time of 6:17.15. Val is still recovering from being sick last week but managed to beat last year's time of 7:32.77.

4-5 Boys:

Hudson Duncan led the way with a 6:07.29 and 14th overall finish. He wasn't feeling like himself yesterday but we know he will bounce back and challenge the top runners in the state. He also beat last year's time of 6:45.

Right behind him was Cooper Pour. Cooper ran a perfectly executed race and it showed! He crossed the line in 6:11.07 for 16th place. He looked like the Cooper we have seen before in practice and we're excited to see him crushing again! Last year Coop ran 7:20.

Reece Shanks came flying in with a time of 6:19.13. Reece continues to do well with our squad while managing a fantastic soccer career! We can't wait to see him achieve some big things this season!

Grayson Horne is a newcomer to our crew! Last night he ran with one shoe on and the other in his hand! He is a tough competitor with tons of heart! He ran 6:23.35

Grayson Smith ran hard to the finish line in a time of 6:33.60. This beats last year's time of 6:57. Grayson has an amazing attitude and always shows up ready to run!

Finn Mciver aka "Ultraman" ran 6:48 last night! This beats last year's time of 6:55. He is also a soccer player right now! We can't wait to see how much Finn will progress this season.

Wes Maxberry had an outstanding race and even waived at the crowd as he came roaring into the finish with a time of 7:35.55. This beats last year's time of 8:55.

Rounding out our 4-5 graders was SJ Hyatt. He ran a strong 8:08 which beat last year's time of 8:28.

We had Carson and Connor Smith competing in the MS division last night! Carson finished 23rd overall with a time of 10:10.92 in the 1.5 mile course. His brother Connor cruised to the finish line in 39th place with a time of 10:51.44. Both are looking good as they continue to build in their MS career!

Cora Duncan got off to a strong start in her race. She finished 4th overall with a time of 10:09.81. She continues to look stronger each week!

Ava Floyd had a great race and finished strong with a time of 11:08.27 which put her in 12th place overall. We love watching her progress each week!

Cyrstal Whitcomb rounded out our MS girls race running 13:34.33. This is Crystal's 2nd ever MS race! She continues to improve each week!

Thank you to all the supporters and parents who came out last night! Woodford County XC knows how to put on a great event!

We will be back in action on September 5th at the RunWild Fall Classic here in Georgetown!
