PE Motorsports was back at Autobahn Country Club for the 2026 Tire Rack SCCA Time Attack Challenge, part of the SCCA National Time Trials program! Andrew Brownfield took on the Max 1 class in the GR Supra, while Justin LaChausse represented the team in Sport 3 driving the GR Corolla.
This marked the first visit to Autobahn for both the GR Supra and GR Corolla. In fact, the last time PE Motorsports competed at this track was nearly 10 years ago, campaigning an FX Corolla in a 24 Hours of Lemons endurance race.
Saturday began with a damp track and drying conditions, giving both drivers valuable seat time to get reacquainted with the circuit while learning the limits of their cars in the wet. As the day progressed, weather conditions continued to change, with several sessions affected by heavy rain. Unfortunately, Saturday's competition was ultimately canceled due to torrential downpours and deteriorating track conditions.
Sunday brought a few much-needed breaks in the weather, allowing both drivers to put together several strong sessions. With improved track conditions, the team was finally able to focus on finding speed and building confidence around the challenging circuit.
Andrew Brownfield delivered an impressive performance in the GR Supra, finishing 2nd in Max 1 with a best lap of 1:28.077. His only competition ahead was Jackie Ding, who piloted his Porsche 911 to a new class lap record of 1:26.900 on his home track. Justin LaChausse continued to make gains throughout the weekend in the GR Corolla, finishing 5th in Sport 3 with a best lap of 1:51.926.
Despite a rain-shortened start to the event, PE Motorsports left Autobahn with valuable data, strong results, and a successful first outing at the circuit for both the GR Supra and GR Corolla.
